The Architects of the Festival Era
The Story: Founded in the mid-2000s (around 2005/2006), Lustig Events revolutionized the entertainment landscape in Suriname. Before Lustig, parties were mostly confined to dark clubs; Lustig took the party outdoors and upscaled the production to international standards. They were the first to bring massive LED screens, international EDM DJs, and complex stage designs to the country.

The Legendary December 30th RitualThe Story: Djugu Djugu (Sranan Tongo for "bustle" or "commotion") was the definitive pre-Owru-Jari warm-up party.
